LESSSS GOOOOO!

Hola everybody! tomorrow is the day!! We leave early in the morning and I am so ready to get out of here and work. I pray for you all everyday and appreciate your prayers. There's not really much to talk about, I'm just ready to go! I love you all so much. The next time you hear from me I will be in Honduras. Oh ya, also I got pretty sick today. The day before we leave! I've been sick for like 2 weeks but its gotten real bad today.

Hopefully I can still talk to some people on the plane and in the airport. I heard they have McDonalds and Panda Express in the Mexico airport and I about started crying. I really miss some classic american food.

Well y'all I want you to know that our Savior lives and loves us and that God lives. I had a hard time this week with just about everything and I was able to feel of the comfort of my Savior. I know that through HIm we can be made strong. We listened to a talk yesterday that really changed the way I look at things. The Atonement of Jesus Christ could have never happened without the character of Christ. He turns out when we turn in. I am trying to be my best to be like my Savior. Another cool thing that stuck out to me was that if I think I can't do it, I´m right. But in the strength of the Lord, I can.

Love you all and hope all is well back in good ol lehi and wherever you're at. Keeping sending letters. I love hearing from you!

WEEK #5 LAST WEEK IN THE CCM!!!

Last Day in Mexico
Hola todo mi amigos!! Well I don't have a lot of time to write today, but they are gonna give us some more time to write on Saturday or Monday. I leave for Honduras on Tuesday morning! I literally am so ready to get out of here. It's been a great experience, but it's time to get to Honduras. We fly to el salvador first too so that will be fun to explore around and try to place some Book of Mormons there! haha.
My birthday was excellent hahah:) I got so many packages and yes I got the cake and the pictures and I was so happy! It took me a while to figure out what it said but I was too busy laughing at Tanner hahahaaha. Too much swag. I loved the pics though so much and the cake was sooo good. Literally no joke. Everybody loved it and of course we had a little bday party:) They even sang feliz cumpleaños to me! ha it was a great day. It's weird to be 19 though.

American Mango Birthday Cake:)
Not gonna lie this week was one of the hardest weeks of my life. Satan tries to make me feel like the most inadequate, weak missionary. And a lot of times I get really discouraged and sort of give up. I decided to fast the day after my b day and I feel like my prayers were answered at a devotional that night. Elder Ballard spoke and it was just all about how we dont know everything right now but we will have many experiences that will be life changing and help us learn so much. Also that success is only determined in if you gave your best effort. Wake up every morning with a desire to work and do your best. I have had some great experiences here and I have grown and learned a lot. I was able to find a lot of encouragement though. I am ready for some great experiences. I know Honduras is not gonna be easy. it will probably be a lot harder than here at the ccm, but I'm ready for whatever comes at me. I know without a doubt that Heavenly Father lives and loves us and Jesus is the Christ. Whenever we are struggling with ANYTHING, just know that Christ has felt that too. It's sometimes hard for me to comprehend it, but I know He has and I have felt of the Spirit so strong here in the ccm testifying of truth and giving me comfort. I love you all so much and couldnt be more grateful for the friends that I have. I wish I could write you all personally and say how grateful I am for you. Keep doing your BEST in everything you do and put ALL your trust in God and I promise He will help you. Que tenga buen semana!!

Elder Beeston

P.S. GO UTES!!!!! i guess that was one thing that helped me through the week:) I can't believe they do so good when I leave. My friends still won't accept that they are good though but whateves.

WEEK #4 SPANISH IS HARD!

SO MANY BOOKS!
Howdy everyone!! I am so happy to hear from you guys and am so grateful for all your love and support. One more week to go here in mexico and then im off to Honduras! Im getting super anxious. Im not gonna lie I will really miss the weather here in mexico. Its sooooo nice. weve got some mega rain storms too. it rains a ton. We were able to go to the Temple today and it was really fun. it is closed down for some maintenance stuff so we could only go to the visitor center. The drive there was a blast though. Mexico city is so nuts!! Probably the most unique place ever. people just do what they want and to be a driver here you gotta be really talented. I hear sirens non stop all day cuz people are always crashing haha:)

This week was a toughy im not gonna lie. Spanish is so hard and I have a really hard time learning but it definitley is coming as I rely on the Lord and my Heavenly Father everyday. I really just have to put my trust in them. I feel like im working hard its just overwhelming cuz you get so much thrown at you. So many books.....I definitely have grown a lot here I feel like. and I have realized that as I humble myself, the language and the understanding of the Gospel comes. But on a happy note haha mexican independence day was a blast! I woke up at 6 am the next day and the fireworks were still blasting off they did not stop. A lot of kids here thought it would be super fun and silly to get on the roofs of the houses and watch the fireworks haha buncha dweebs. I had a bad feeling about that so we just went and had our own little fiesta in our casa with some chips and salsa:) Man I wish I had more time there is so much to talk about!! Oh ya also I will probably be playing professional soccer when i get home. we play cage soccer everyday!! its so much fun and my homie Elder Tobler in my district plays for byu and he has taught me a bunch haha. Well I hope yall have a great week and are enjoying life. Thankyou for all your prayers and support. Serving a mission is the greatest thing on the planet. Hasta luego

Elder Beeston

WEEK #3 MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY

Another week down here in mexico city! Time is flying I feel like I just got here and its almost been a month! hahah. I miss you all so much but I couldn´t be happier being here in the ccm. This week was not easy im not gonna lie. They seriously throw so much at you so fast and give you a biggilion books to study and its pretty overwhelming at times. I have seen the hand of the Lord though and my prayers are being answered. Thank you all for your prayers as well. I know without a doubt that God lives and through sincere prayer, He will answer you or help you with anything you are struggling with. I also read a sweet talk this week called, "Through the strength of the Lord." I encourage you all to go read it. Through the enabling powers of the Atonement, we can have the strength we need to overcoming our trials. Satan is so real and is out to get everyone of us but through the Grace of our Savior, Jesus Christ we can have the strength we need if we really seek it.

So this monday is September 15th and here in mexico that is the biggest day of the year!! Its their independence day and its literally like the 4th of July on mega roids. They prepare for it all year! haha we are literally right in the middle of the city so its gonna be nuts. People are already having their pre parties and just party all night. Hahah the other some party was playing YMCA sooooo loud hahahah funniest thing of my life. Then they start rockin pit bull:) The ccm is throwing a fiesta for us missionaries monday night and none of us expect to be getting any sleep...I mean its already hard enough just on an average night! Everyday here we practice the Mexican National Anthem and it is the funnest thing in the world to sing. I just belt it at the top of my lungs hah.

So ya that´s pretty much whats going on here. My compañero y yo are doing great. We really enjoy playing jokes on each other and we have lots of fun. We teach like 7 or 8 lessons every week and were getting better and better. He´s super swell at Español and helps me a lot. I´m so pumped to get to Honduras.

Well I hope all is well with all mi amigos at home and hope school is going great. I miss the high school days ha:) Good luck lehi football at homecoming also. Lets get a dub! Love you all sooo much and love hearing from you and getting pics. Keep doing work in whatever you´re all doing and remember who you are and that God loves you so much! Adios errrbody

WEEK #2 NO MORE MANGOS :((

Elder Larsen and Elder Beeston
Men in the Mirror
So this week had a lot of ups and downs. I was really strugglin just trying to comprehend everything with the Gospel. I have been praying so hard. I just kept on questioning things but the Spirit would keep reminding me of all the experiences I have had. I kept praying though to have a big spirtual experience this week. And I got one. I was reading in Alma 56 yesterday morning about the Sons of Helaman and how they fought with such great strength and did not doubt. As soon as I read those words I was taken over by the most powerful Spirit I think I have ever felt. It felt like my body was being electrocuted! ha it was awesome. My prayer was answered and it really made this week better. I feel like I'm not working hard enough too. I get so overwhelmed with the 50 thousand books I have and also wanna find time to read the scriptures so it's tough but I'm getting better. The Spanish is startin to come along. Our lessons keep getting better. Weve taught like 8 now. Elder Killpack and I are doing pretty good together. We just need to keep focused and remember that that we can't go into the lessons with nothing prepared thinking the spirit will just take over although I know it will, but we still need to do our part to have it prepared. It's all about doing our part and the Lord will do the rest.

Perched :)
So the food here still hasn't got to me yet (knock on wood) but I love it haha. I eat so much rice and beans and tamales and taquitos and chicken:) PROTEIN. The only sad thing is, which I pretty much cry about everyday is that Mango season is over. I got mangos for like 5 days and then bam they're gone. Luckily I'm heading to a place with lots of mangos!:)

OH ya i forgot! September 15 is the indepedence day here! It is literally going to be the craziest thing ever. No one will sleep that night. It's already hard enough to sleep with all the "fireworks" going off every night:) We like to play a game to see which one are fireworks and which ones are gun shots:) haha its non stop all night though.

Killpack, Beeston & Gillins
Well I don't have a lot of time. Only about an hour. So I gotta finish things up...there is so much more I wanna say!! Just know that I love you all so much. I am so thankful for all your prayers and love and support. I could not ask for better family and friends. I keep you all in my prayers every night. My prayers seem to take like an hour hahaha but I got a lot to talk about. Well....Adios errrbody! Tenga un buen dia!!

Love Elder Beeston

P.S. GO UTES!!!!! so sicck. keep me updated Dad i love hearing about it
